Featured Pot: Sea Urchin Bonsai Kusamono Pot in Drippy Blue Glaze

I've been doing the Sea Urchin Bonsai Pot shapes for a long time. Okay alrgight, truth is I've been out of the clay thing for about 6 years, and I'm finally getting back into it since I relocated from Phoenix. Anyways, these are part of my 'Sea Life' series. The Sea Urchin Bonsai Pots started off because I wanted to do something with lots of spikes. Tentacles are my thing, worth me here! Spikes, tentacles, whiskery things, all the same thing. So... yeah, spikes. I just kept adding spikes to this thing, then out popped a friggin sea urchin shape. BOINK!

Though is it a 'Sea Urchin' shape? I dunno, kinda looks like one of those old timey sea mines. Whatever, you'll either love this shit and buy it or you won't love this shit and you'll just move on. If you're reading the description though, yeah, I think you might kinda like this weird little shape. Yeah I called it weird! Oddball, spikey, doesn't seem very cuddly with all them spikes. Yet it's strangely cute. And yeah, it IS cuddly. As a matter of fact, those spikes are what make it so cuddly.

This is a stoneware piece with red body and a very drippy blue glaze. Personally, I LOVE how the glaze came out on this guy. Stoneware means that this piece is meant to go outside year round.
