A Quick Out of the Blue Blurb.

It's December, the week before winter starts. Looking at my little blog, I haven't posted anything in at least a month. What I have been posting has mostly been 'Featured Pot'. Just something that I posted to my Etsy Shop. I haven't posted anything from the garden because I aint doin shit outside! It's cold. Honestly, I haven't done shit inside, either. I haven't done any pottery for 2 months now. I'm just too darned cold to do anything.

Well, that's not exactly true. I bought a new 3 foot wide wire shelf and some LED lights. I plan to hard prune the scheffleras and use that new shelf to grow out the cuttings. I've noticed the schefflera's foliage is getting distorted, as it's bumping up against the grow lights they're under. So the shelf, yeah... I didn't have a good place to set it up, so I took down my clay table in the kitchen and set up there. Only problem is that Bernie's Ficus is already there, so I had to adjust the shelving to accommodate the ficus. While I was at it, I leaf pruned the ficus. I saved the cuttings and have most of them in water, under the lights. I figure I can try to propagate those as well. 

PLUS - Did I mention I ordered my Japanese and trident maple, Japanese black pine, and Sargent crabapple seeds? Did I mention I now have them stratifying in the fridge? Yeah, so I'll have those seedlings, plus a shitload of cuttings from the schefflera AND a shitload of cuttings from Bernie's Ficus. Also! - I have to prune my crabapples and prep the cuttings for winter storage. Which reminds me, I bought some crabapple seedlings a couple months back, so I have to plant those out and prune them back.

I have more to say, but if I don't do an update now, I never will.
