Weekend Update 09/16/19

Most years about this time, I start to hear 'Ramble On' in my head. Mind you, it's still in the early phases, not quite built up to a full on song, but I can hear the call. A storm blew through here on Thursday. I first felt it during lunch. I heard the unmistakable sound of autumn leaves rustling in the wind. Later, the rain started. This was no light summer rain. This was a cold autumn rain. I could hear the pre-amble build up of that song as I stood inside and ate perhaps my last summer burger of the season.
F. religiosa seedlings appear to have slowed down in their growth. Not sure why. Maybe its the change in weather. They're inside and I have their lights on 7/24, so that shouldn't be a thing.
I removed the wiring in the crab apple cuttings. Blog notes indicate I placed the wire around August 3. Wire was only on about a month and it was already starting to bite into the wood. From what I understand about wiring, it works by slightly breaking the cambium layer. As the tree grows, it repairs the slight breaks in the cambium layer. The wood then hardens, setting the wiring position in place.
Not much happening in the garden. Things have come to a virtual standstill. Did not fertilize this weekend as I don't want to burn the roots.
I'm still doing pottery, but I'm not too keen on posting pictures of my pottery. Shit breaks, things happen.
You know what, FUCK IT!
I'll post some pictures of my ongoing clay projects as well. Not on this update though.
