Just say FUCK IT! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Weather's starting to warm up, I need to start watering my trees a lot more. With the weather warming up I'll also want to encourage more growth so I'll probably want to begin heavy fertilizing. I didn't fertilize this last weekend; I probably should have. It's no big deal, not like I'm gonna kill anything.

FUCK IT! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I got my ficus religiosa seeds and schefflera seeds in the mail yesterday. I really doubt I'll get anything from either of them. Both are best when using fresh not dried seeds. And both take a long time to sprout. The ficus seeds take anywhere from 15 to 90 days to sprout! They have to be kept warm and moist, and with lots of light but not direct sun. I mean seriously, how am I supposed to pull off that hat trick? You know what, I'm just gonna toss them in a plastic shopping bag and keep them under my growing benches like I don't give a fuck. As a matter of fact, I'm gonna do exactly that with both them set of seeds. I'll stop by the dollar store on my way home and grab a couple of aluminum roasting trays and get that shit started tonight. And if they don't make it:

FUCK IT! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Growing bonsai, you're gonna make mistakes along the way. FUCK IT! Ideas and projects might just flop right in your face. FUCK IT! Despite your best efforts, those new seeds you planted, or cuttings you took don't make it... FUCK IT! There are times where you just have to give it your best effort and say FUCK IT! Don't worry if that new idea faceplants. Shrug your shoulders and move on when your cuttings die back or your seeds fail to propagate. You did a severe pruning on that tree, chopped up most of its roots and it died?

FUCK IT! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What, you thought there was some sort of secret to growing bonsai using unconventional methods? You know why most people don't severely prune back their trees or attempt neagari? Because of the potential for failure. More than likely, that shit is gonna fail. However, what if despite the odds, your long shot pays off? If you're playing roulette and you put your last $5 on 32 and the wheel hits your number, you just won $175! If you're a gambler, you know this already: sometimes you have to be willing to take risks because the payoff can be huge. You can hedge your bet, take lower risks, whatever, but in the end you're still taking a risk. You'll likely lose your $5, but you're definitely not going to win $175 if you don't try, right?
