I mentioned before that I still had some ficus religiosa seeds and schefflera arbicola seeds to plant. So that's today's project: I'm going to document the process of planting some tiny shit ficus seeds that I have little hope will make it because they're 1) they're tropical, 2) they're not just off the fruit fresh, 3) This is Port Angeles. But like I said before, FUCK IT! I'm not gonna include pictures of the schefflera seeds because I don't feel like it. But if you, dear reader, want to see it, use your imagination. So let's get started!
First things first. Last week or the week before, I bought some garden soil from Walmart cause it was on sale, and I knew me and Aaron could use some soil for our various projects. During the week, both orders of seeds arrived in the mail, so I stopped by the dollar store and bought a 2 pack of aluminum foil cake pans to use as my seed starting trays. I filled them both with that garden soil. I took a look at the ficus seeds I got in the mail.
Tiny! Just ficus dust, really. I shrugged my shoulders and sprinkled them on top of my tray full of dirt. I used about half the dust/seeds in the packet, so if someone else nearby wants to try their hands at this shit, hell hit me up. I'm not gonna mail though.
I then sprayed the tray down with some water and I put the whole tray in a white kitchen garbage bag and tucked the whole thing outside, under my growing bench.
I didn't include a picture of tray in a garbage bag, nor did I include a picture of the trash bag under my bench. Again, use your fucking imagination.
Oh, while I was on it, I did a few more azalea cuttings. I still had the clippings from last weeks project that I kept in a bucket of water. I took about 3-5 inch cuttings, stripped the bottom leaves, leaving about 3 leaves on each cutting and dipped them in rooting hormone that I had from last year. These I just cluster potted them, about 15 cuttings or so in about a one gallon pot. I did two pots like this. I tucked them by the rose bush and we'll see how they grow. If they don't grow, I guess I'm out about fifty cents worth of dirt.
That's all there is to it for this weekend's post. Nothing else to report.
