I Continue to Make Pottery! (09/19/19)

Quick note about my garden:
Fucking Jeffrey the deer ate my crab apples! Okay, he just nibbled on them, didn't destroy the trees. But this late in the game on a tree so small could potentially do a lot of damage. The little leaves that were on standby to bud out next spring may try to come out now. It's still early enough that the tree might decide it makes sense to do so. But if we have an early winter, the tree may not have enough time to create new buds for next spring. Go home Jeffrey, you're drunk! Fucker.
Back to my clay. Not gonna lie here, feeling a bit accomplished. I finished up the last two pre-made pots on Wednesday. I still have tonight (Thursday) to do some more stuff, but maybe I'll just cruise through the rest of the week, get some rest. It's getting later in the week and IF I do any more stuff this week it won't dry and be ready for the weekend.
Bernie worked late Wednesday and Brandon made dinner. I came home from work to find dinner was ready. Because I really had nothing left to do, I wanted to do my pottery early in the evening. I dove into it right after dinner. I started out by making a quick octopot:

Yes, it's very similar to other octopots I've done in the past. That's the idea. I want to build up my inventory. While I was working on my first pot, Aaron decided to make a few pieces for himself. You can see them in the background of the pictures I took.
Next, I was deciding whether to do another spider pot or a fish.  It's the end of September, Halloween is right around the corner, and Aaron really likes them, so I did another spider pot:
I like how this one came out. Not as 'leggy' as the other spider pots I've done. Kinda has a spider-crab look. And Yes, I know spiders don't have tentacles for mouths. Artistic expression. LOL!
Last thing I did for the night: I used a balloon mold to create a couple of small moss pot:
This is supposed to be a quick bonsai pot using a ball as a mold. I like how these are coming out.  I'm encouraged and will likely do more of the same.
I'm almost out of clay (again). Not my fault! This clay is really soft, so I find myself going through a lot of it quickly. I'll just have to get more!
That's it for now.
