Went to the Second Friday in Mesa.
It was great. Weather was nice. And by nice I mean it was about 100, but it was nice.
Had a good turn out. I was surprised by how many people walking by recognized my work from the Faery Fest and Etsy.
Let's talk a bit about the Fairy Fest and Second Friday. I won't say how much the FF cost, but it was EXPENSIVE. Plus I was out there ALL FUCKING DAY. Plus it was way the hell out in the middle of shitsville. Then to top it off, the fuckers putting together the event cancelled this year's FF because some of the vendors drove over a sprinkler or something.
Boo hoo. So we didn't exactly behave. Is that any reason to act like a turd and cancel the whole event? It's like cutting off your foot to spite your toe. Fuck it. I'm done with it.
Second Friday was FREE. I had ZERO hassle with getting out there cause it was IN TOWN. Plus the event coordinators LIKED having vendors! I felt welcomed there and I had a blast.
So I had fun, I felt welcomed and I really interacted with the people visiting.
So now I have to replace a bunch of stuff I sold. Have to make more stuff. And the stuff I had at Mishy's? Hell, I only have two pots all the other shit already sold or being used.
Plus I have to make NEW new stuff so that I'm not doing all the same old stuff, but some new as well. But I have to be sure I do enough of my old stuff to keep up with the .....
meh, that's enough 'splaining
