I added this last pot to my Etsy account:
Seriously, I *don't* do drugs! You wouldn't guess it by this bonsai pot. I wanted this piece to be thinner, more elegant and more refined. I planned this to be a nice, thin piece with wonderful, elegant bubble feet. But the clay was very soggy and was not playing nice wiht me. It wasn't holding up to my thin, elegant attempts and ended up chunky. This chunkyness sorta extends to the bubble feet. And the bubble feet don't really look like my regular bubble feet. They look more elephant than bubbly. Then there's the dragon. It looks like a retarded, short snouted crocodile crossed (and I do mean CROSS) with a pig. I made it look retarded on purpose, really. I wanted it to look like something my 9 year old would do. I was going for WHIMSICAL. I succeeded. But when this soggy, chunk bonsai pot with retarded dragon meets Primitive Fire and Raku Goldburst glazes, something magic happens! Yeah, it's WACK! The sound that book you were reaching for on the top shelf makes when it suddenly falls off and hits you on the head. WACK! That sort of magic wack, a sense of wonder that such a small thing can have such a big impact. Kinda like stubbing your little toe on a random piece of furniture when you get up in the middle of the night and stumble about in the dark, looking for an Oreo. Yeah, wack.

Then there's the INSANE looking dragon that I applied! It wraps 3/4 of the way around the pot and it's finished in a raku goldburst glaze. It's just crazy wacky!

Go ahead! Look around, I can guarantee (GUARANTEE I TELL YOU!) that you will never EVER ever find anything that comes close to this.

This pot is *not* for everyone. It's not classically beautiful. It is WACKY! Invite this guy into your home only if you're prepared to invite a lot of wackyness into your life. Cause yeah, you never know when you might find yourself sitting at the bank of some swealtering Amazon river basin backwater, enjoying the moment with your Monkey pal Bobby (who looks like Margaret Thatcher) and Green toucan buddy named Pinky (irony, live with it!).
