I mentioned I ordered some Adenium arabicum seeds. I ordered 125 seeds, only about half germinated. Aaron was growing them in his garden, but he was not watering as much as I'd like, so I had him move them to the side yard. I've been fertilizing about once or twice a week. So far they're growing nicely.
The crab apples are growing nicely, though probably not as fast as they could. I'm probably not fertilizing as much as I should, but I prefer to err on the side of caution. I don't want to burn my roots.
I've been allowing the ficus cuttings to get bigger before wiring them. It's my opinion this allows for much better results, sacrificing dramatic bends for more fatter trunks. Perhaps a better technique might be to start dramatic bends early on, then allowing the bonsai to grow out, then wire again.
For inspiration, I bought a Philodendron and put it out with my trees.
