So I was thinking about clowns, and how they represent something quasi-human. I find them disturbing because they seem to represent something that mocks our very humanity. As far as I can prove, clowns are in fact human, but it disturbs me to think of them as part of the very thing that they mock. Yes, I have a fear of clowns. So I started to do a clown faced bonsai pot. Yet, from attending the Goblin Market, I felt inspired by the Goblin Market Master, Castor. Suddenly it made sense to me. Clowns mock us because they are not us. They are in fact GOBLINS in disguise. Case in point: Robert, who was dressed as Castor, seemed to be having a great time at the Goblin Market. Everyone knew he wasn't really a goblin, but that made it that much more fun. So then Goblins dressed as humans don't try to pass themselves as humans, so they dress as clowns. I ended up calling this one 'Castor'. Hey it makes sense to me!So that was the second crazy face bonsai pot. I made another one that reminds me of a cartoon Colonel or something. So yeah, I'm calling it 'The Colonel'.
