I decided to swing by Mishy's last night to pick up a few items. The items were still in the kiln, so I picked up nothing.
It wasn't a total waste of time; she hadn't bisque fired for the week, so I got to sneak in this week's items for firing. They'll be bisque fired by this Saturday. Woot!
And what are those items?
For glazing I have the slug dragons and clay amigurumi, a few bonsai pots, and perhaps an item or two that is escaping my mind.
For bisque firing, I have a replacement High Priest Mogwai (the original broke, so I'm keeping him), a bunch of skull beads (jack skellington and dragon skulls), a couple more bonsai pots, and some marine life inspired items (luminaries and a spoon). Yes, the beads, luminary and spoon are a new direction for me, but we'll see how they turn out.
As for my bonsai, I took some ficus cuttings a few weeks ago. I was experimenting with a new technique that failed. However, I did plant some cuttings in more tried methods and these are taking off. Money's a bit tight at the moment and I don't have funds to go out, so I'll probably pot up more cuttings this weekend.
